But don’t just take our word for it. Here’s what some of positive and critical mudflap app reviews below;
“I use Mudflap for my TDI VW Beetle. I don’t know if you intended Mudflap only for truckers, but it sure would be nice if it could also be used on the regular vehicle diesel pumps. Most of the time the pumps intended for the semis are too big to fit in my tank. If it’s a station I’m not familiar with, I have to move from pump to pump to find one that will fit my car. It’s a little inconvenient at times, but I’ll keep doing it bcuz it’s worth the savings” _judo_love773
“Love it! It can definitely save some money on fuel, especially when fuel prices fluctuate. I’ve noticed I can save over $0.15-$0.30 per gallon pretty often and at the least $0.07. If there’s a mudflap station on your route, take full advantage of it!” _Dean Oberholtzer
“I like the price using the Mudflap App, however, I don’t like the $250 hold on my account everytime I use it. If I was to fill up more than once a day say twice that’s $500 hold on my account (using my debit card) and then if I needed to use it again the next day that’s another $250 hold. Personally I don’t carry that much to be available on my account let alone it took 2 days for the $250 hold to come off my account. Very dissappointe” _Jim Roth

Forum Reviews
There are some summarized Mudflap reviews from different forums;
Bonnie & Rob said that They said that they used Mudflap and it is easy to use, got the code from the phone app and went inside. Pumper enter the code and pump. Discount was as advertised on the app according to them. They used a cash back credit card with the app , and received an additional 3% back from that.
Wndopdlr said that he used it and liked it.They are adding new stations all the time and he had received discounts as large as $.70, although that is not typical. In talking with the station owners, he said that they all seem to like the company a lot.
No downside exists to downloading the Mudflap app and checking it out. There is no obligation to use it, and no cost is involved. It is assumed that a small portion of the discount is taken by them. Some areas may show weaker performance, but this is likely true for any card as well. – skallagrime
Bob said that he had used it twice at small truck stops where it gave him a better net price per gallon than the TSD/Open Roads app would have at the larger truck stop. he said that, plus he earned reward points on the mudflap credit card he used.
Bigchick said that he guessed he was confused about Mudflap. they live in central Arizona. he signed up and downloaded their app to his phone. yet when he tried to find participating stations he found only 1 station with in a 150 miles radius. the app did`t list any stations in the phoenix area. He said so where are the participating stations?
Doug and Renee Tallman said about comparison of Mudflap and TSD coming from AZ to PA. They used Mudflap twice and TSD twice. They only used Mudflap because there were no TSD discount in our fueling stop area. They found TSD to be better when available but Mudflap was close with their 3% credit card added on. They will continue to utilize both.
Ken’s preferences in order are stated as: TSD / Open Road – big truck stops with easy in / out are usually preferred. Fuelbook – smaller stations are usually found, but a separate big truck island with high-speed pumps is always available. It is complained by some that the truck stops are dirty; while that is usually true, it is something that will be dealt with in exchange for being able to pull in and out without worrying about unhooking the toad. Mudflap – no preference is given. Going inside, giving a code, jumping on one foot, etc., is not considered worth it.
Inthepines says that Google play store doesn’t have any privacy / data safety on this app. he is Leary about using it, not knowing how your data is being accessed, what data is being accessed and how its being secured. He knows the majority of people don`t care. He is not selling himself out for 50 cents off a gallon. He will pay full price to secure his information.
Primarily in the southwest, specifically along I-15, but ventures out to other regions are sometimes made as well. Better results with the card have been seen in the Midwest and Southeast. Last Thursday, diesel was listed at $4.00 at the Flying J in Nephi, Utah, which had never been seen before in Utah. – TheLoadOut
Terradriller said that he saved $64 on his first use plus another $10 for getting my son in law signed up. Pump total showed $365, my Costco Visa was $290.Very Happy
A $0.02 per gallon extra fee is charged for a direct link to a bank. The advantage is evident; a mudflap fleet card likely provides better and broader coverage, but it is working so far. If extra cash is available for a fleet account card, it is recommended to get one. Additionally, linking a bank to Mudflap is suggested. For immediate savings, Mudflap can be used to help transition to a fleet card. Approximately $1,000 has been saved, averaging about 25 cents per gallon. – skallagrime

Is Mudflap only for diesel?
Mudflap stands out as a fuel program because it goes beyond just diesel discounts. While helping truckers save on diesel, their biggest expense, Mudflap also saves on DEF, a crucial emissions-reducing fluid for modern trucks. This makes it the first program to consider this additional cost. Additionally, discounts on other fuel types and additives may be available depending on the station, making Mudflap a complete solution for cost-conscious truckers.
How does Mudflap make money?
Mudflap operates on a win-win model. Truck drivers benefit from significant savings on diesel, DEF and potentially other fuels. Gas stations are increasing their business by attracting more truckers with Mudflap app-based discounts. Mudflap itself makes money through referral fees. These fees are paid by gas stations only when enough drivers use Mudflap to fill up at their location. This incentivizes Mudflap to ensure that truckers and stations benefit from the service.
Does Mudflap app work for gasoline?
Mudflap streamlines the fueling process for truckers looking for instant discounts. Instead of paying at the pump, drivers use the Mudflap app to find stations, get discount codes and pay directly with a linked credit or debit card. This eliminates interaction with the cashier and ensures a secure transaction. Mudflap then collects the discounted price and sends a digital receipt for record-keeping, although paper receipts are still available at the station.
Why should you try Mudflap?
There are many reasons to try Mudflap! Firstly, they are completely free to use, with no street price surprises. Plus, you can sign up and start the saver right away. They even offer a $10 bonus just for using the code AAOO during registration. But the real star of the show is the savings: Meanwhile, Mudflap users save 59 cents per gallon. The app also helps you stay organized with built-in expense tracking designed specifically to meet IFTA requirements. And if you ever encounter these problems, Mudflap has direct telephone support available 24/7 to help you get it back on the course.
